Bent Lane Front View

Bent Lane

Client: Private Client
Location: Culcheth, Cheshire

Situated on the eastern edge of the village of Culcheth, near Warrington, Bent Lane is a new-build family home which references local farm houses in its formal simplicity and palette of external materials. Developed using the PassivHaus Planning Package (PHPP), the building has been designed to meet PassivHaus Institut construction standards while exploiting natural light and spectacular views over open countryside. Prioritising the avoidance of cold bridges, LEDA has created a highly insulated and continuous thermal envelope, with low heating demands met by a high-efficiency wood burning stove. A back boiler supports roof-level solar panels in the provision of hot water.
